The River Rising Band invites us to worship, praise, and focus on God through songs, both traditional and contemporary. All are welcome to join this ministry of music.

We sing to express our joy, our praise, and our love of God. We sing when the spoken word isn't enough. And we sing to reach a deeper place within ourselves where words alone only scratch the surface.

People have been singing in their language of faith throughout history. The book of Psalms might look like poetry, but it was actually a set of songs for worshiping communities long before the time of Jesus. People didn't have hymnals or song books, so they memorized these words of encouragement, hope, and strength. And even three and four thousand years later, we continue to recite these same words.
